Tried to challenge myself with doing a UFO sort of kidnapping scene with a ferrari in forest . Did a mix of renders between my own with more samples then i used with my own renders the 1st 3 are from sheepit and the last 2 from my own PC
generally its great !
i would say you need to randomize the trees , rotate some o them and changes some of there scale .
the other thing i would say is you need to have depth and fog to make the scene more interesting !!
also its too dark . like perfect dark !! and that cant be done for a camera lens . so maybe try to make the dark arias more like a little bit light gray
also use an HDRI so that you would have diffrint light intensity and to make things looks more realistic !
Thank you for the feedback .
Could you explain me a bit better what you mean by the depth and fog ?
In which part you mean about being too dark if you dont mind me asking ?
I used Skytexture with a sun light on the world settings to adjust the hour that i wanted this to happen , should i just use the HDRI with sun light with the daytime hour that i have ?
hay
sorry i was way !
so if you see dark areas in your renders are made off almost 100% black color !
if you see movies in night scenes dont have 100% black color for there dark areas
thy would have something more like light black gray like thise
also by depth and fog , i mean try to create an environment atmosphere , in the composting
like this one
it makes the scene looks natural like in real life !
also HDRI are better to use specially if your going to make an exterior scene
but the sad part about it is that you might not find the right day time of what you want !
If you dont mind me asking , how could i change that dark into a light black gray since its because of the way i used the lights i think that its pure dark like that
hay
sorry i was late
i your using a sky texture . add the strength to something llike 0.200 or something
but its better i used a color correction on the composter or on the render tap
like this
but using an HDRI should fix this part !
Let me know if its more realistic now . i added a HDRI and used a cube for the volumetric thing around the whole scene
it looks much beater !
now you need to add dramatic light and use a bloom fx to give the glowing lights some realism !
i will post you an img showing what is dramatic light !
so check this !
dramatic light is like the light you use to creat an atmospheric mode like the one in the side of the trees and back on the background
also these is the file in case you want to check it out
To add bloom in blender , do i need to do something in the lights settings ?
no !
what type of blender are you using ?
My version is 4.0
ok
do exactly as the red arrows do !
first set the viorport to always , this will make the vioport shows the effects youl add in the composter !
send open the composter and add a filter and set it to bloom , this should make it work !
For some reason when i try to open your project in the render viewport my blender just closes.
https://gyazo.com/866110fff4d9b9b37ca256013a56ceb2 Bloom doesnt appear here
yeah !
sorry i was away !
its because i use 4.2 . it might not work untel you update
also i remembered in the old version there is no bloom , but you can use fog glow and it will work fine !
Now should be fine as you recommended to do .The UFO already had a jpg image for the emission and all i had to do was to increase the alpha value to 1
looks better already right
Thank you so much for the help , by curiosity could there be room for some improvement still ?
yeah
other than fixing the environment ’ trees variation ’ couse thy dont look natural this way
maybe add stars to the sky ! and some side lights to give the renders some cinematic feel , like far city lights or some road llights .
also watch some movies and games that hase similar modes to your vision !
it helps alot !!
