Underwater City Ruin (Light Traffic)

Hi! Here’s a Blender model I just finished, was very enjoyable to make, I found the blue pretty easy on the eyes…

Kitbashed some buildings from Cargo (what a resource that is), tinkered with water volume and surface, pulled some bits in from a great add on called Urbaniac and this is what I got:

I hope you like it, comments / criticism welcome as always.

Very nice! - it looks like the not-too-distant future for most coastal cities . .

Hello, that’s a great picture !
If I can afford : the shark would seem more alive with his tail a bit bent.
Nevertheless, I couldn’t do an image so beautifull.

Yeah like bent to the image left so you could get the tail in profile, that would have indeed been better, good call

Nice render. If I may add one more suggestion in addition to the shark bended tail, consider adding algae growing on the walls and props, to emphasize a heavier underwater feeling. (Unless this city was just recently flooded!).

I did initially consider that but decided not to spend too much more time on it… I’m going with the recently flooded option!

I’d suggest a bit more dense volumetrics to look more realistic. Otherwise great work.

I agree that would’ve been more realistic, I struggled with the desire to make it more realistic, (which I think that would’ve helped with), and the desire to see more stuff. Sometimes you just want to make more than one version of these things

I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!

Cool render! In my noob opinion it would look a lot more realistic if you increased the density of your water. I really like your sunbeams and it would be nice if you could figure out a way to make them interact with the objects more. Great work!

Very Cool!
