Undo doesn't work as expected

I had a bevel modifier on a mesh. I deleted it and then used ctrl+z. It didn’t get added back in. I tried edit>undo and still no good… however it did start undoing other things I had done to the mesh before removing the bevel modifier. Being new to blender, I’m not sure if that’s the expected behavior when removing a modifier…that you can’t undo to get it back. Is that how it works or a bug? Thanks.

If you deleted the modifier while being in edit mode that’s intended behavior, unfortunately. At least for the time being. It’s a quirk of the Blender’s undo system: modifying object properties while in edit mode isn’t tracked.
