It’s a very nice piece there. I am with a virtual railroading community for Trainz Railroad Simulator, and I’m sure a lot of them would like to have that model as the built in Big Boy is… not so good.
Anyway, all I see wrong is there are some clipping issues with the valve gear rod on the second set of driver wheels.
I can’t really comment on the accuracy of the train, but there does seem to be a ‘focus’ issue in that snapshot. Maybe its just my eyes but the front of the train looks blurred while the back of the train and in particular the bridge it is crossing look pin sharp which, since the focal point of the train should be the front, is the opposite of what you want.
@ZapperJet: I looked at the Trainz Railroad Simulator Homepage, and i actually like the model of the Union Pacific. Of course it is much more Low-Poly, but it also has to be rendered in real time.
@Paul J: There is no Dof in the Render, but Vector blur. Of course the front part of the train moves much faster passed the camera, because it is closer to it, ergo the v-blur is stronger.
You are right, In the Still Animation Snapshot(frame of Animation!) it looks kind of weird.:eyebrowlift:
