I’ve been using blender for 3D scenes up until now and measuring by eye has been good enough for the projects iv’e done.
Now I’m using blender for game models and need to know measurments exaclty.
How do i work out an objects size in blender…
Lets say I make a cube(to keep it simple) how big is it (and in what unit of measurment)
Because if i need to make a cube of that size in the future… is there a way to create a cube and just tap in the dimensions to get a cube of the size i want?
I know it seems amazingly simple, ive just never ran into it, as following tutorials you just seem to slap down a mesh and scale it free hand with no mention of how ‘big’ it is.
Try hitting N on your keyboard with the mouse in the 3d window. This will give you the transform properties. In here you can set the Object size.
Just remember that the position of the verts depends on object size + their position.
