Having made a lot of hard-surface transportation-related models like aircraft, ships, and cars, I decided to model a steam locomotive. While there are plenty of such models being made, I decided to go with a steam engine from the 1850s nicknamed the McConnell “Bloomer”. The origins of the name seem to vary based on the source, but it looked complex and interesting to try and model! I then created a scene that would show off the model (I might have failed at that with all the smoke in the scene!). Fantastic model and scene (and the materials/texturing is great too). Gives me something to aim for in terms of quality and realism (been trying to make my own train).

Thank you @LazloWoodbine. It means a lot coming from someone who’s work i have been keenly following! (Victorian railway station). This particular locomotive involved a lot more of research since there were not a whole lot of references in terms of certain details (interiors, instruments etc)
This is really good. The scene is great and the smoke adds to the presentation of the train. Impressive work.
