can anyone explain to me why my smart uv unwrap project textures come out like this ? How do i get rid of the lines going through texture?
No blend file supplied in your post so we have to use guesswork ? Be generous and supply a demo file that shows the same effect
Remove doubles
Recalculate normals
Only have quads and triangles in your mesh
? I’m still a newbie with blender. What do you mean by remove doubles? what will recalculating the normals do to this texture? if i recalculate the normals will I have to repaint the model ? Why do you say only have quads & triangles? I don’t wanna include a blend file for the model, its already rigged & has a bunch of animations. I’ve spent weeks working on it & I don’t wanna just post it free for whoever wants to download it?

Nobody is interested in your model, just delete all the crap like animations etc. If you want help, you need to make an effort to make it easy for someone to help you.
If the model is so great then you must have a basic understanding in using blender so you will know what I meant in the previous post.
