Upbge - 0.3.0

You need to test with your scene.
Create some emissive objects and add irradiance volume big enough and increase it’s X,Y,Z resolution.
It’s lot more optimized than real lights because it’s baked.
There is also the new LOD for Upbge 0.3.
Depending on post effects you use some might be slow, perhaps consider changing those also.

Perhaps there should have shader presets quality for example :

  • Low quality maximum fps
  • Medium quality and fps
  • High quality for high end pc

I would suggest people working on Upbge 0.3 to work on shaders only and optimizations for next releases, and get Upbge 0.3 as fast as previous versions.
