http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBUbHIeXzXY is a little explainatory video about the “mechanical mathematician” which is a tool to help poor people with no access to modern technology make good big parabolic reflectors (for solar cookers) with minimal outside help.
This could save a lot of wood if implimented.
The tool was only thought up in august and i have released it under the comunity commons licence.
But my video is so crappy!
Perhaps someone could do a blender instructional video and stick it on utube or some other video server?
There is other info about the mechanical mathematician out there too.
