Use tutorials or buy the Blender 2.3 guide?

I’m new to blender. Would you suggest buying the book, or just going through tutorials?

Buy the book. That way you can help out the community. But once you read it, look up some new tuts. The book is a little outdated but you can still learn a lot from it.

The 2.3 Manual is license under an open content license, so you can download it freely over at the http://www.blender.org site in the documentation section. Of course, like .:Tr@ceR:. said, buying the book is a good way to encourage development.

I’ll probably pick one up then
