I’m looking for more information about a pipeline workflow for importing/exporting a scatter, this workflow consists of exporting instances loc/rot/sca as an alembic point cloud.
The .abc point cloud is then used to re-assign instances once on the final DCC’s used for rendering. (let say scattering points in houdini and instance back the assets in maya)
Are there users here that are familiar with such pipeline workflow?
Good question! In production scattering happens in the same software where rendering will happen (Houdini). So I am not able to give a right answer what happens if we need the scattered assets in Maya.
