Using Bone Color Sets???

Hey,

I would like to set a bone color set for my rig. I’ve been reading that I can change the wireframe color of bones, but I can’t figure it out at all. The Blender docs mention going to the info window > Theme Buttons > Bone Color Sets, but I can’t find this at all. I’m using Blender 2.5. Can someone please let me know how I can change the wireframe color of bones? I’m a Maya user and the Blender UI has been killing me as well as the documentation : (

Thanks!

Put your armature in pose mode.
Select the bones you want to group.
In a Properties editor window under /Object data/bone groups… create a new group with the “+” button. (while still in pose mode)
Once a group is created you can choose from the theme colors. Don’t forget to assign the group to the selected bones.
Make sure colors is checked under display.

Awesome. You really helped me too. I wanted pink sticks…and now I have them.

It’s worth pointing out that this was done in 2.8, and was more or less identical to whatever version was around in 2010 when this post was originally created.
