The very nice thing about Blender is that you have three very good (built-in …) rendering options to choose from. If you are planning to do “a printed book,” you may also wish to discuss with your publisher exactly what they would require or prefer.
Cycles is a very amazing render option, but it might or might not be the most-expedient one for print.
