Using object mode & edit mode at the same time?

Hi all!

One little question: Is it possible, while modeling, to view your model in another window but without those nasty edges and vertices shown? Currently I would suggest using the object mode in the second window but it doesn’t work…

Cheers!

What are you meaning, post screenshot highlighting exactly what you mean

I’m sorry, it seems that I didn’t express myself well enough:

I’ve got a splitted window here - nothing special.
I want to edit my model inside the left window. Inside the right window I just want to see my model, without the edges and vertices drawn on it so I can see the changes I made better.

It’s hard to explain but I hope you understood it! :stuck_out_tongue:

If you uncheck N-panel->Mesh Display->Overlays: Edges, and use either GLSL shading or Textured Solid, you can get fairly close.
Selected components will still be highlighted, and vertices in Vertex Mode. And you’ll lose the effect of the overlay in both windows. And it’s not available with Cycles as active renderer.

Aaah, thanks mate!
Unchecking the mesh display options and setting the display method to “Texture” in the second window make it finally work!
