Using one armature for multiple characters?

Hi guys!

Is it possible to use one armature for multiple characters?(Some of the characters are tall,short, troll-like)

If so how??

the problem is that the armature is fitted for each character individually, a tall chracter will have slighty different bonesize relations than a short one, and a troll would have his back bent and would therefore need another bone structure than a “normal” character… you would also have to create different animations for different characteres, they move different (a small person takes smaller but faster steps to have the same walking speed as a tall one with slow steps)
pure technically it’s possible, of course, you just need to duplicate the armature and then parent the duplicate to another character mesh^^
