UV Copy texture cordinates

I know that other softwares such as 3Ds Max have the ability to copy UV cordinates however I am not sure in blender.
Is their a way in blender to copy the cordinates of one island or face to another so that I dont have to overlap the UV maps to get the same texture. I know that I can get a plugun to copy the UV cordinates however b4 I download the plugin I would like to know if their is another way of doing this.

This addon seems like it would do the trick - and in Blender, that is how many tools are done, by code from individual contributors being implemented as addons.
