UV Grid/Gaps when painting

It was “UV bleed” with using the “lightmap pack UV thing”. If I unwrapped it with smart uv and did some repainting it solved the problem. Though I will have lower resolution…

I’m wondering why it’s different in my render from my viewport? I’ve sculpted a little… creature… and used the lightpack to unwrap to that I could paint a texture. So while it looks ok in the viewport, it seems to do something with the UV’s when I render.
I’ve switch the “Subdivde UV’s” on and off, but doesn’t seem to make any difference. It generates a cool giraff pattern from the polygons, but not really what I was after :slight_smile:

I’m sure that it has happened before, but I didn’t know what to search for. See attached image.
