UV Island pack, generate new tex

Is it possible? I’ve ripped a 3D model of a car from a game and it’s textures have like 3 or 4 different interiors on 1 texture so all cars could have different interiors with the same texture. Anyway when I made the car use one texture in 2.49 with the python script it kept all of the unused textures so the texture is much larger than it should be. When I pack the islands in 2.5 it looks fine and that would do but it doesn’t do anything to the texture.

So, if I get you right, you want to cull the parts of the texture you aren’t using? You can just put the texture in an image editing program, crop it, and then rescale / move your UV coords once it’s back in Blender.
