my uv map makes it so its its clear on the outside and not the inside like it nomally is. is there a way to fix this or invert it so it switches the clear part with the part that holds the texture?

No idea of what this means!. So we don’t have to use mind reading or for lesser mortals guesswork to try and figure what you are talking about show us something, concise series of screenshots and an example blend file.

for normal plane it is ok with unwrap
but for smart unwarp it will inverted
and you can do a Rot around Y axis!
