UV Mapping wont show up in Texture Paint mode

Hi all,

I’ve recently updated to Blender 3.0 and I’ve ran into a UV issue which I’ve never experienced before in any other builds.

My issue is: I UV mapped my model in UV Editor mode (perfectly fine).
I added the checkerboard material onto the backgroud for precision and I finished the UV.

Now once I go in to texture paint it, the UV just doesnt show up at all.

I’ve tried making new materials and different methods through the shader node editor but I’ve hit a brick wall.
Any help would be great!
Thank you in advance

You made the UV-grid texture in the UV-Editor but what is the MainHousR... image ??? Because the shader image(s) and the shown image in UV Editor (and Image Editor) can be different… you also can paint on the UV-grid (it is intrnal generated image but can be saved… ) Don’t forget to save you (painted) image if it is not packed !!!

I just noticed That I was using the wrong material. However I’m lost as to how I managed to make the texture in the UV editor… The only thing that I did that was new to me is to use the checkered grid and then Nothing worked after that. I’m still getting hiccups with the texture as I’ve created so many of the same materials through frustrated attemts
Is there a way to delete the materials I’ve created in blender?
Hopefully that’d help me catch up with myself and start with only the necessities.

Thank you very much for your reply Okidoki

For the images and materials there is the X (next to new image/material) and the tip (hover over it) also says ‘…shift click to set…’ the in the outliner ther is the Orphaned Data (broken heart logo) to delete it explicitly (also done after save… in the file… not in you working copy ?? this was something like that… it’s irritates people…)
