I am not sure why, but my UVs are not updating. I tried opening with different Blenders versions, did not work. I also erased the texture in the Shader and uploaded it again and did not work.
The curious thing is when I change the texture coordinates the UV moves.
What I can not do is to place my UVs in the UV editor in order to fit the rulers textures for each side.
That’s because your object has two UV maps, and you’re editing the second one, while it’s first one that’s enabled for rendering. Either make the second UV map active for rendering in here (click that camera button):
…or explicitly connect a named UV map using the ‘UV Map’ node, instead of default ‘UV’ output of the Texture Coordinate node:
There are various applications. For example, you could use one map for the whole character, and a dedicated map where most UV space is taken up by the head, for detail. Or a second map could be for some atlas texture, for light mapping (game engines use this).
Or practically, when you want to make a better UV unwrapping and transfer (bake) old textures onto it.
I recall previously in Blender it was even possible to clone-paint from one UV map to another, but I don’t know if that feature is still available.
