UV unwrap goes wrong

Hi! I’m a Blender beginner and recently I’ve come across a problem with the unwrapping. If I’m about to unwrap for example a rectangle the unwrap makes every face equaly big. It makes every face inte a square. It’s annoying and it makes texturing hard. It has never been an issue before and I don’t know why it has started to do it this way now.

I need help with this because I’m stuck :frowning:


I suspect you scaled the object from the default cube while in object mode instead of in edit mode so it has a non uniform axis scale

In this case apply the object scale (Ctrl+A) before you unwrap
