Hair progress:
Almost finished the hair, I know the wrist bone is wrong, have to fix vertex weight.
Amazing.
There’s something about whole character, deformation, highly organic sense over skin, now on hair -you must have all secrets!=)
haha wow tremendously better hair ! I love it, the skin is wonderful and the shapes (other than the wrist which you mentioned) just flow perfectly, would love to see a wireframe!
Thanks Pete, Megastor!
PeteMc,The next post will be a wireframe view.
Megastor, that’s the first polygonal hair I’ve made, following the instructions on the tutorial you posted, kudos to you and the guy who made it.

That is basically perfect topology very impressive!
the hair, how did you get the hair so beautifully rendered?
I’m thinking about doing a little tutorial on hair,
I used your shader, sort of
But still I can’t achieve even a bit of your awesome renders, this is the best i can get
Better do a skin shader tutorial
Well, it’s because he set up lighting to give rich color and nice highlights. Also, his hair has a nice little breeze going through it.
Anyway, good work, and keep it up. That polygon hair takes forever to render!
On the image of Node setup is there a texture belonging to specularity??. I use lighting, sky texture and a low value of ambient occlusion.
Takes a bit to render to me, what’s that?
Yes, I use spec map, a translucency map, bump and difusse. For the hair I use alpha and bump maps. I’ll show you these maps.
But your model looks quite good! I usually dont like to use ambient occlussion, as it gives flat lighting, which is not bad, I just like more dramatic light.
I’ve made little changes to her face, is more rounded now, I think she is now prettier, what do you think?
The hair need some fixes where it grows, now the geometry is clearly visible as planes, I have to push it into her head.
Oh thanks, i’ll try it again.
She is looking better, love her lips, but her eyes have strange reflections perhaps you need set to smooth and check the cornea surface.
Now I have tho think about outfit, pose, scene. Trying clothing here:
With eye rig:
I’ve decided to make a Pinup scene and outfit. This is the progress on the swimming suit. For her to look like a 50’s pinup, Ill have to make some changes, like the hair. I like the hair now, but I have to change it to make it look vintage.
