Van Gogh's hair

Such a clever technique. I find it more impressive than the original.

That is a nice technique, however, I can not locate the Fast Planes mode in the 2.68 particle system? I also can not locate the panel for Cycles Hair settings?

How do I enable those options?

WOW very original

thanks man, I really appreciate

maybe you need to set the panel render experimental gpu / cpu

very unique and great results

@giuseppeed: Thanks, that was it!

absolutely fantastic!

May you show us the Cycles node setup plz ?

Great and cleaver work, congratulations.
Happy combing!

I love this! Very creative.

Beautiful!

Creatively artistic. . . Great work mate. . . Keep updating your work. . .

this is actually really cool

good job man

This is what I love about Blender. It seems to be revitalizing approaches towards art. From sculpture to great paintings. A freely available tool set for any aspiring artist. The work is unbelievably well done and certainly inspired.

man! this is some really impressive render! As steve S pointed out want to see his starry night painting rendered in this style. Good job mate!

amazing! …

Brilliant! loved the idea and execution, AO is perhaps leching the colour.

@giuseppeed: Do you have any tips on how to make the hair lie flat on a plane? I have an image plane with a hair emitter and I do get colored strands but even with force fields I can not get the hair to behave properly. When I enable rotation on the emitter, it has no effect on the hair no matter what settings I use. I would like my hair to lie flat on the plane, similar to the back plane in your portrait.

Amazing!! How long did it take?
