Hi guys,
Vertex Paint shows up fine in Blender Internal render, but when I render in cycles my painted areas don’t show up.
Here is an example:
The green I painted on the monster’s head does not show in cycles. Is this not supported or am I missing something?

Using node-based materials with BI, the Geometry-node has a Vertex Color output. The Geometry-node of Cycles does not. So unless it’s implemented in some completely different way, it seems like it’s not supported.

Use the Attribute Node and insert in Name the Name of your Vertex Colors. Then use the Color output.

Replacing the cycles material colour with an attribute, and naming the attribute the name of the vertex colour layer, does what you want I think.
That worked like a charm, thank you very much!

Wow! Any other cool uses of plugging attributes into Cycles materials? This seems to enable a whole world of tricks.

Use of multiple UV, just type in UV Name.
