Hello all,

I’ve not posted here for a while, but i am majorly stuck on creating this:


Its for my Bus’ volvo dashboard, it would be easier to use a photo and texture it in Blender, but i was wondering if there was a way to create this panel board in Blender with the aid of Photoshop so it looks neat. I’ve looked all over for tutorials related to speedometer creation but somehow it didn’t appeal to me, silly of me really but i thought i would ask here.

This is what i’ve done, i basically traced the shape of the rev counter, speedometer and other gauges and made a mesh to texture each but it still doesn’t look neat, and i’m being pedantic but i really want it to look good:

I don’t really know what to tell you. Keep trying I guess… To me, it looks like you are really trying to rush through the creation of the panel. Modeling something this detailed takes time. I would try to model the panel myself if I had the time. Anyway… keep trying! P.S: Try lighting up the scene a bit more. That would make it look better.
