Here’s another personal project of mine. This time it’s my take on what a Volvo S90 R would look like. Now days the R is only associated with minor cosmetic changes but it used to mean better performance (engine, suspension etc) as well as a quite noticeable change to the general apperance.
I wanted to go in that direction with even more noticeable design changes but not make it too “Fast and the Furious”.
First off is the custom red paint with black glossy details (blackout).
The front is in general the same type of design but cleaned up and made more aggressive. The wheel arches are widened quite a bit but integrated with the original body shape and not “added as a kit”. The original body lines still follows the wider arches.
The door handles are removed (yeah I know, it’s not super practical to have to open the doors with the key but it’s so clean 
). The mirrors are smaller, both in height and thickness to give it a more sporty look. The rear bumper has been widened to follow the arches as well as some general clean up. Rear diffusor made slightly more aggressive. The top of the trunk/end of rear fenders have been changed to give the look of an integrated wing (close to what the BMW M3 CSL has).
The wheels are a remade design of the Volvo Black Diamond Cut.
