I imagined what it would be like if the Voyager 1 and 2 message had been transported into space not on a vinyl record, but on a cassette tape. It would certainly break more quickly, but I think it would have more style.

Yeah I am currently active on the forum replying to threads, when this popped up as a notification as I follow you.
Cool Idea! Maybe an additional Walkman should have been delivered (with long lasting batteries). Everytime I see this picture of the woman and the man I can’t help but imagine the aliens wonder if only male humans have genitals, because Nasa censored it. 
Haha, I am sure they were also confused when they would hear all the sounds on that tape …

Nice renders, and a humorous idea…
The originals were formatted like vinyl records, but were actually copper discs plated with nickel and gold. A bit more permanent that mere vinyl (or magenetic cassette tape).
