I have the following shortcuts set up, basically SHIFT MMB for panning, or shift+alt LMB dragging.
However I would prefer to set panning to “control LMB dragging” (on mac)… in the shortcuts I only see the shortcuts set for the MMB and cannot find where my shift/alt + LMB shortcut is located. I do have it active together with the “shift MMB” option.
- You’re setting a shortcut for 2D view, right?
- Can’t have same shortcuts set to different commands within same editor/panel
one will conflict with another, then none work
- you simply set shortcut by clicking on ‘shortcut’ button then setting a new one

Burnin, I presume i`m setting it for 2D view. I want to pan in the 3d Viewport.
i`m using a 2 button mouse with scroll wheel (the wheel is also the 3rd button but its quite stiff) so I prefer to set the LMB with option/alt on mac as the orbiting/rotation, and shift/alt LMB is currently the panning.
However I want “control” LMB to do the panning. this would be easier over many hours of working.
I have set use left mouse button to select and emulate 3 button mouse in preferences as well.
Here the shortcut i`ve set for pan view to LMB PRESS CONTROL… saved it but cant get it to work in the 3d viewport…
