After a successful festival run, my animated sci-fi short film ‘Watchmaker At Time’s End’ is released online!
You can watch the full film here:
Animation and game design studio making the game ‘I Can Human’, a hand-drawn 2d platformer about a robot trying to blend in with humans.
Est. reading time: 8 minutes
It’s set in my fictional Kerala hometown. Made over the course of 5 years, using only Free/Open-Source softwares.
I had made a post earlier here showing how Blender was used in the project:
I’m Shaheen, an animator from Kerala-India currently based in Kolkata at an animation studio -Ghost.
Over the past five years, I’d made a 2d-animated short film called 'Watchmaker at Time’s End’ using only FLOSS. Here’s the teaser trailer:
I’d used Blender, Krita, Natron, GIMP, G’MIC, imagemagick, Ardour and more, constantly changing and updating the workflow according to the needs and improvements.

I loved how unseriousness the sound effects. I laughed several times. I impressed by your 5 year consistency, did you planned a schedule? Or is it just perseverance? Thanks.

Ahh thanks! Good to spread some joy
I was planning to finish up in 1 year. But then, life happens, and I’d keep breaking plans and making new ones. It really helps that I always enjoyed making this film, and never felt like a chore. What finally pushed me through finish-line was that I had agreed to screen the film in several venues on specific dates- so I had to finish no matter what.
