water faucet

Hey…

Modelled this little thing to not forget everything about blender and indigo, and was quite pleased with the result, so figured I would show it here…

I probably won’t change anything course this was just to practice, but feel free to comment… Especially lightning, cause i’m not very good at that

thanks for watching

wow, looks very nice IMO. how long did it take you to get indigo to know so good that you could get results like this? can you perhaps post the material settings ?

Thanks

I have been playing with indigo since it was released the first time, but never used it for anything serious… The materials are nothing special but sure you can see them… You can see the xml here :

oh, indigo does not have something like the sliders in blender ?

yes you define the materials in blendigo when you export… It can be found here

and a tutorial can be found here if you are interested

if you have any questions just pm me and I will do my best to answer

I can’t seem to see an image…

alright, thank you  the only thing that annoys me are the extreme long rendering times…

hmm try here blenditall

it’s the full version so it has some noise…

I like it, I gave you four stars.

• Just to pick on something (remember I’m just a newbie):
• Overall, the image is a bit dark.
• I’d expect more light from straight above to increase realism.
• The faucet looks like a perfect metal material but the sink material is somehow undefined (Its not far from the default Blender gray plastic). I’m too new myself to tell if its because of the material or the lighting. Maybe its just to dark? Maybe the sink needs a bit more modeling or ‘design’?

Keep it up

Ah, now I can see it. Pretty nice, though the water looks a bit viscous.

Looks pretty darn nice  4 starred for the same reasons as Mats.

I forgot to add I really like the waterfall concept. Did you come up with it yourself or did you find it somewhere? Denmark is renown for its nifty design, maybe you should present you render to a manufacturer?

I know I’ve seen that design here now and then…

Thanks guys

The water could use some more work, but i’m a real newbie when it comes to the fluid simulator, so this was the best I came up with…

And no unfortually the design is not mine… I found it in the international design yearbook for 2007…
