I am trying to do a fluid simulation where there is a box full of water and a small ball goes around in it making waves and splashes. I can’t get the materials right. I allready know to put 1.3 on the IOR. but what else am I supposed to do? Do I put the alpha all the way to zero? how much reflection should I put?
yes, alpha is just about 0. you might want to make the material blueish. fairly reflective and hard. See Cogfilms too for helpful water material hints. water is difficult to get looking realistic. I think you also want a cloud texture for the microwaves in water being golfed.
