Wave script anyone?

I would like a script that does not lag the BGE like crazy, works well on low-end computers, like Macs, has properties to adjust, easy to implement, and creates waves like lava/water waves (lava moves much slower), and there is diffuse/shadowing on the waves. Shadeless waves look too flat for me.
