BTW, the tree is modeled by hand. 
I don’t like the lighting, as it seems to be coming directly from above. And I think number 2 is better.
I like the first one better. Maybe put the bush somewhere else. IMHO it’s to much centered in the second image.
you don’t hve much time to change it bu you should have made that grass much more poly counted! the things look way to rigid. Nice tree although you can tell where angles are and you should have make more bump on the sand. Th elighting needs to be improved too! Overall it is promising! 
i like the second one best because on the first one the angle of the shadows is inconsistent with the position of the sun.
Well, it’s currently taking 15min to render, with about 500,000 polys.
And I consider it done.
i hear you man,…my gravel path alone reads 23000 on the decimator. 
I really like the feel of this.
The tree and the grass are very good and I like the lighting of the final version.
