Thanks, I appreciate it. I have used a picture as reference, mostly for the idea and compositing.
On the image below you can see on the left the “Blender viewport” screen capture, on the middle “Cycles render output” without any post, and on the right the “reference picture”, I really apologize because I do not remember the author.

Here below a bit about the process for creating the different layers of the donut.
