Hello, first off, I want to say I have seen some amazing pieces on this board; beautiful, hand-crafted, realistic scenes that just blow the very fabric of my mind. I have always loved 3D art and decided to try my hand it, learning very very slowly taking my time to mitigate problem. I’m still watching a series of Blender Basics tutorials hoping to soak everything in.

Now my problem is that I am trying to model this sexy scepter (full size version, like below) which is proving really difficult.

After seeing the avengers again for the first time in a while, my love for the staff was rekindled. I have many reference images to work with but seem to get ahead of myself wanting to just jump in to start making it right away when I don’t even know the hotkeys/shortcuts yet (I downloaded Blender 4 days ago). I eventually would like to complete a proper model I can export using Nifscripts for Skyrim being a distant goal, but one day I hope to realize it.

I would be honored if an artist could give me any help, I know this is the volunteer work section however I want it to be know I’m open to advice too, anything really that could help. If someone were to take the job, it would be under their conditions (I’m quite new at this :)). It would be a personal use only piece even though I started this campaign due to the disappearance of the contributing modder in another individuals nexus request thread in the first place. Unless given permission however, the model will remain private use. I don’t expect anyone to reply as I cannot imagine the time put into the many works of art I’ve seen on this forum alone, so for anyone to take that time from their lives to help, thank you. To the everyone thank you, I am grateful for having access to such a knowledgeable community of creative minds that one day, under optimistic circumstances, may include me. If I am missing anything please forgive me. :o

You want it to look like the pics that show up in your post, or like the one in your link? Not sure if I have time to do this, but figured I’d at least ask that.

If it came down to it, I would want the longer version, however I am not picky and would be extremely grateful to have any any help :slight_smile:

I’ve attempted to make the staff & here is the result. it is clumsy, i know, but ive tried my best! as for permission, sure! share all you want.

I love it! Thank you oh so very much, I cannot express how grateful I am for your time, it’s perfect! :smiley: Hopefully having a working model will help me better understand the steps involved in creating such a piece. One again I cannot thank you enough!
