There are loads of relativly cheap-ish printers that can do gorgeous quality printing.

Have you thought about opening an online shop? I’m sure that if you made an effort on advertising you’d be able to make some extra cash on pictures. DeviantArt offers an online print service, but I’m not sure how much of the profit they take.
They clearly state how much of the stake they get.
At the same time, im too lazy too look at this moment in time.
edit, they have a fixed base price which shows how much you /they get. Anything charged at a higher rate, thereafter is a 50:50 split.

My teacher floated around the idea of opening a printing shop in Bangalore India, no joke, and I don’t have a clue yet on who I’ll hire or where the shop would be in the case my sales are like what I did there multiplied by a few thousand.

I’m sure there’d be at least one good printing shop in Wichita, but this will be left until I start getting more orders then I can handle. My next art gig is at a place called the Perc. A coffee shop which does art shows and luckily recently went smoke free.

Furthurmore, you are taking things way out of perspective arn’t you? “I dont have a clue on who i’ll hire…” Artists don’t generally own printing shops, they get artwork printed and may stock it themselfs to sale…
Equipment and tooling is not cheap… $500 does not warrant such acitivies and certainly not the hiring of people.
Yes, there will be a good local printing shop. Local didnt mean they have to be in the same city, I refered to country more-so. Though for you americana’s i guess ‘states’ would be a better figure.
