WEEHA: Sold 26 pieces of art today at my first booth selling ($500 profit-expense)

Yup, that Autism walk thing was today and I had a booth with thirty pieces of art, a few times sales were flying and when it was all said and done I sold 26 of them.

Among the ones sold.

-Wheels
-Chips off the old block
-San Marino: The paper city
-Bed in the clouds
-Arrows
-Box Minimal
-Organica
-The Artist Disturbed
-ect…

Over 500 dollars profit, in just about 4 hours, some other people wanted to buy some too but they didn’t have any money. Overall a very successful day, and more then you may have expected:yes:

really , are you serious ?
good for you  .

Good job. I was thinking about doing a few pieces for the art gallery that is a block away, but I don’t know what do to that people will buy. It’s all like old farm house pics in there now haha.

I am serious, and two more people both wanted a copy of Bed in the Clouds and I think gave me the money for it.

We didn’t know what to expect, a rather decent number of people wanted pieces that were already sold.

hey CD , why don’t you have a portfolio , i have seen only 3 renders of yours !
the dragon between the marble [liked it , it’s simple and uniquly stylied ] , and two abstract scenes
i’m looking at the old threads of yours to see some of your work
PS :- please don’t revive any old threads guys

good luck .

How did you print them?

Photo paper, cheap, and high quality. Then me and my teacher take them to a local store called Hobby Lobby and they mat them, then we get the frames and frame them and get them ready to hang.

Sweet! How did you sell them? Have people just looked at your work and said “Wow, I need to buy that.” or do you have to advertise?

The art pretty much sold itself without much of anything in advertising. People just looked and went into awe.

Here’s the exhibitor booths list for proof.

I’m the last one on the list, interesting how they mispelled my last name:confused:

They also seem to bunch Asperger’s people as Autistic, I don’t have the severe variety.

wooooot! Good job.

Congratulations.

Good job  nice you are helping people out like that.

Congratulations Cyborg Dragon. Nice to have others enjoy the fruit of your effort.

I looked out the images you named in your gallery. Nice stuff.

Very nice indeed. I wandered over to your gallery myself. Very impressive work you have there. You seem to have quite a way with abstract images.

Not shabby eh?

Found raising and cheap art made by a autistic artist. Sympathy sells and for a good cause.

Even if this was for a good cause, you did it only for you ego CD. As you stated on the other thread.

@bigbad: you’re getting way too predictable. What do you hope to accomplish by being so negative? Has it worked in the past? Ever?

@Cyborg Dragon: good job. Next time, get them to spell your name right. Save a copy of the program or catalog and a photo of the booth (if there was one) for your portfolio, along with a list showing which pieces were displayed (with prices) and which ones were sold.

Take your portfolio around and introduce yourself to all the other art gallery owners or managers in the city (not just the one you go to now) and leave your contact information. Your life story may get you an invitation to do a show somewhere, and the catalog will introduce you as “autistic” in a non-threatening way. People buy the artist as much as they buy the art, especially collectors.

Very neat! If I’d have been there I would have bought some for sure!

With a standard inkjet printer?

Edit: Asked not in skepticism, just trying to figure out your method.
