So randomly the other day my weight painting brushes just stopped working, and it wasn’t just on the save I was on its anything, the only way for it to work again has been to reset everything to default, but I have a lot of stuff downloaded to my blender and I’m not sure the pages to get the addons I had are there anymore so I’m not wanting to reset back to default settings permanently. It works after I click use defaults, so something related to the weight paint draw tool is not set right, but I don’t know what it could be. It has nothing to do with the add or subtract or multiply either, tried everything with that. The other weight paint tools work just fine too, just not the draw one, if anyone knows what setting I might’ve accidentally messed with let me know
I sometimes have the vertex mode accidentally activated,
then I can’t change anything.

All your addons can be copied to a backup location. Just copy the entire folder.
It will be the brush settings that have changed - the very top icon in the properties panel.
