Hello, i’m making a clone trooper from star wars(not really making it, downloaded one and giving it custom paint) but i wanted to add a texture to the visor to make it look cool, instead of plain black, maybe as an augmented reality mode. I’ve made a cool grid pattern, as seen in the file below, but when i apply it to the visor it glitches out a bit.

Click on the ZEUS 2.2 file. There is a plane with what the material should look like, as i designed it there first. If you click on the helmet, There is a material called “visor”. That is where the material is. As you can see, it is mostly workable aside from some out-of-place lines, which i want to remove.
It’s worth noting that when I downloaded the model it was all tris, had to use a quads to tris modifier. many faces in the visor are still tris, however. Maybe this is the issue? How do i fix it? Also, some of the squares in the grid are looking pretty stretched and some of them are tilted a bit like parallelograms, any fixes for that?
hmm… let me try again. Also the misspelling is intentional, i’m not allowed to post links for some reason.

That should do it
Thank you for telling me, i was wondering why i got views but no replies so far.
EDIT: just tested, it works.
