Hey Guys
For learning Blender i made my own Halo animation. With the viewport render it all looks the way i want, but upon rendering i get these weird white horizontal noise as if you are looking at an old crt tv. I have no idea why this could happen, this happens even with the optix denoiser enabled, no matter how many samples i do it still shows up. Any idea where i need to be looking at?
Only time I’ve run into this kind of weirdness is if I have something going on in compositor, as some nodes/filters seem to get corrupted at unnaturally high exposure levels.
Reduce the scene to the minimum that still produce the error and share it with us. Like, if you turn off the soldier and it still happens, don’t include the soldier with what you share.
Hey guys thankyou for the help, 1 thing to note both screenshots that i shared are renders. These are frame 2 and 3 of my animations,i shared both of them to show that the noise is unstable, so none of these are a viewport render.
I will try to check filters, the composer and maybe lower the brightness of some of the lights in the scene. Thankyou and will post updates shortly
Hey guys, it turns out it has to do with lights i put around the scene. Here is a quick render with optix and only environment emissions on, without the lights on and the noise is no longer there. It turns out it has to do with a sun i have put in there with casting shadow’s off.
Wow it turns out that it all had to do with “cast shadows” on the sun, since its an indoor shot i chose to turn that off so everything got a neutral lighting, but that was the crazy amount of noise, with cast shadows turned on, all the noise is gone
