Weird light bounce

Not at all. Even after i separate it again, it has no weird white halo effect

I might be wrong, but from my point, I don’t see really any huge differences between them. Maybe it’s just me and how I see it personally, idk.

I think, you can get away with it by playing with your Principled BSDF node, namely Subsurface value and/or Specular as well.

Thank you for trying to help me out with this! I really appreciate it. It’s a little nitpick, but I’m sure if I put it in another scene the effect will probably get worse haha

One more question: how did you make your eyes lashes?

It’s an alpha texture I got online. I avoided particles due to space

I just wanted to say about making it through the particles system. But, I don’t know if you aware of this or not, but now the particles system considering to be an old one and depricated, since (as far as I remember that) Blender 3.2. Now you can make your hair using so-called “Hair System”. It’s much easier in practical use, gives you more settings to be hanging around with and so on. Here’s a quick short video that explains it:

Interesting. I might have to consider this option instead. Thank you once again!

By the way, if you wish, you may drop your .blend file where your head and eye lashes are separated from each other. I’ll take a look at it.

Here you go! separated file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1n8CmvpBTAfhiEH-06sdz29Ba6GeCmzvO/view?usp=sharing

The shadows are disappeared after joining, that’s what’s up imo.

Thats very odd right? there has to be a setting somewhere for that

Seems like I found it. Turn off “Transparent Shadows” option in your Head’s material settings.

UPD: Sorry, for mEyeLashes material.

That’s not it either, because it turns off the alpha shadow for the eyelashes and shows the shadows for the whole object, so you get a rectangle shadow instead

Yeah, sorry. Didn’t notice that at first.

Well, from what I see, you can either try the new hair system instead, or just keep them being separate objects. Can’t really tell why the shadows disappear after the joint.

Yeah I think you’re right, I’ll take some time to think about what I should do. The reason I want the objects to be combined is because of blend shapes

You mean you just want them to be more organized?

Yeah pretty much, if everything is separate then it slows down the workflow especially when I want to animate

As a workaround with this, you could just put all what ties with the head into a folder called “head”.

Sorry, I mean collection.
