Weird Noise in Cycles

Hello

I made a ship and trying to figure out whats wrong when rendering. It’s making noise and it shouldn’t be towards the end. I’m using Cycles and setting it to pass as 4096 frames with transparency and bounces set to 16 for both max and min. I also checked shadows and no caustics. I’m using GPU and it renders in about 14 or 15 minutes. This is the end result.

The vertices and faces is around 86672 which is pretty low.

I’ve never fixed a problem quite like this before, but I’ve heard that the clamp value is what you should mess with.

If you can’t get that to work, just take it into gimp or photoshop and manually fix the problem pixels.

More samples might help, but it would be way too many sample for it to be worth it.

Are you using any Add nodes on the material?

I’m not. This is the node setup for the hull material.

I downloaded the latest build and notice a few nice adds especially addition light support. Which makes converting some models from BI to Cycles easier. As to the problem, It helped some but it left the renders dark. A lot of details was lost so I decided to clamp and make each shuttle part a solid object.

I’m not sure why something with a low poly like 87000 count will still have noise when something else has over 600,000 has zero noise even at 2048 or 3072 passes?? Do anyone have any idea whats wrong or is it a bug??
