I want to make smoke coming inside from a house. I have set the roof and other parts as smoke collision object, but they don’t effect the smoke like I want to - they seem to have an offset for the collision. It is not very visible in the final render, but I wanted to know if this is a normal behaviour or if I accidently tweaked the wrong setting.
I don’t know a whole lot about smoke sims, but it looks like your resolution divisions is pretty low. Try increasing that to 64 or higher. If that doesn’t work, post the .blend file, I’ll see what I can do with it.
Try putting the resolution at 128, and in the smoke high resolution settings leave it at just 1. That will raise the sim time, but it will look so much better. Also, activate the smoke adaptive domain, it’ll be a little bit faster that way.
