wet cloth simulation

Hi there,

I would like to ask how to do a simulation where water passes through a piece of cloth? knowing that i am not only considering cloth wetting. Thanks a lot, this thing has been keeping me busy to figure out. :eyebrowlift:

I know there is a way to do this. I can’t remember how. (I’ve never done it myself) Maybe you can put an image sequence for your a mask which makes the cloth darker and slightly specular. I think there was an easier way though. where you set a “painter object” to affect your cloth, and whenever it touches, it automatically creates a frame for the map. It makes for realistic interactions. I can’t remember what the feature was called.

Wet equals a darker, smoother, more saturated look to your original material. When you reach soaked (as in fully saturated cloth) and droplets form, you mix in a specular desaturated white on top of the original surface (mix or add shader, depending on how you control the color inputs). More here.
