What Blender version am I using?

I find that when Blender is open, there is no way to see what version is being used, so if I open Blender by clicking on a Blender file, I don’t know if it is opening the latest or an older version. The splash screen used to be accessible in the help menu, but that is no longer the case.

If I try to modify the ‘default app’ in Windows, all the Blender versions are called ‘blender’ with no version number and no location.

Thanks for any clues.

I believe, with this on you can see the version on the bottom right corner

simsek, thank you very much. It was turned on. The version was sitting down there in the corner, so small and inconspicuous that I never saw it. Don’t tell anyone.

Thanks again.

You’re welcome! ^^

Another way would be to click the little Blender symbol at the top left, which lets you bring up the splash screen. That will also tell you what version, in the top right.

But previous answer is a more elegant solution.
