Sun light doesn’t have a “sky”, it’s just a sun.

Using the sun light would be like being lit by the sun…but in space (parallel rays, no indirect lighting due to scattering etc)

The sky texture includes not only the sun but also contributions from the atmosphere (e.g. scattering).
