What does "GPUTexture: Blender Texture Not Loaded!" mean?

What does this message “GPUTexture: Blender Texture Not Loaded!” mean? Does it mean a texture (image, etc) did not get loaded or passed onto the GPU?

Just asking. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hmm to be honest never thought about that mostly (only?) appears if i investigate a file posted somewhere and the textures are not packed into the blend file (or additionally zipped even if blender can compress files…)…
…maybe this message text is a bit missleading… AFAIK the GPU part is trying to tell you something especially the part handleing the texture… that it is not loaded…

About the reasons it is telling nothing…

So simple question:
Does File → External Data → Report Missing Filles tell you anything ?

If you have all textures then it might be aproblem with the GPU (driver ?)…

It seems to be Blender/UPBGE, not the GPU. MacOS’s M1 GPU works as intended. It seems like when you move a texture/rename it/delete it from your computer outside Blender/UPBGE, it causes this, as Blender/UPBGE cannot find the texture in its memory/directories…

? So it’s an Blender problem ?? Or actually an UPBGE problem ???

Please keep questions about UPBGE in #game-engine:game-engine-support-and-discussion

The error is basically when imported images/textures turn pink in the 3D Viewport. This can be caused by moved, renamed, or even corrupted images.
