Hi, is this a cartoon hand, realistic human like hand? For Cartoony that’s a good start, but the thing missing is that you need to bend every finger segment, and then add the support loops around those bending areas for rig deformation later.
Also try making those fingers and hand with an 8 vert circle instead of a rectangle if you want it more round…
Ultimately I’d like the hand to look more realistic after adding more subdivisions, sculpting and using geo nodes, but in a stylized way. There’s not much reference material I’ve found.
I’ve attached an update of where I’m at, but I am lost in this. Is this…good? Is this reliable? Is this going to work well? I don’t know exactly.

I made some edits, the key is to have more topology if you want more realistic shape why taking advantage of subdivision:

Here’s my own take using my own new gradual building method for a degree of muscle and boniness. I think this is closer to what I was going for for a two-fingered alien hand.
I’m not going to download any blend file yet because I have no idea what viruses someone might intentionally or unintentionally upload.
