About the event:
The exhibition is a visual answer to the question “What is Graferty?”
Graferty is petroglyphs and frescoes, five-leaf grapes and mushrooms.
Graferty had existed long before the man.
Graferty has also appropriated subcultural “graffiti”: it absorbed the concepts of graffiti piece, outline, tag and sketch.
Sketch is something that connects Graferty and drawing.
The sketch can be very fast, careless, only indicative. Or thorough, meditative and self-important.
Like Graferty.
The event is curated by Konstantin Stavrov and Pavel Bezor, as well as under the aegis of Saint Boboyang.
16 Russian and 10 European Graferty-artists take part in the exhibition.
This is the first public event at Invalid House, a new place of power and experimentation.
